You will need:
1½ cups flour
1½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, soft
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/3 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla
a quart jar of peaches
Turbinado to finish
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the eggs, sour cream and vanilla.
Stir in the flour mixture until combined.
Spread the batter into a greased 9-inch cake pan. (Round or Square) Press the peaches into the top and sprinkle with the Turbinado sugar. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted into the center comes out clean.
