Patty Recipe 1
You will need:
10 oz (1 can) Drained Organic Garbanzo Beans
1/4 C Pure Pea Protein Isolate
Green Onion, Finely Chopped
1 Cup Walnuts
2 Tablespoons Flour
3 Dates, Chopped
1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
1/8 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
1/2 teaspoon Cumin Powder
3/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
1/4 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
1 teaspoon Maple Syrup 2 teaspoon
Grape Seed Oil
1/4 teaspoon Coriander
1/4 teaspoon Turmeric
1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
Pre heat over to 350 F. Blend walnuts in food processor or blender until taco meat consistency. Place ground walnuts into a medium sized mixing bowl. Place drained garbanzo beans in food processor and lightly blend until the beans are coarsely chopped. Add beans to the bowl with the walnuts. Add all other ingredients to the mixing bowl. Stir with a fork until everything is evenly distributed. Press into desired burger patty size. Oil a baking sheet and place burgers on the pan. Bake for 20 minutes. Broil until golden on top (about 2 minutes) and serve! The results were very taste spicy burgers that tasted just like falafels! But they gave Andy indigestion and he was up most of the night. I striped down the recipe and switched out the Garbanzo Beans for lentils. To boost structure I added potatoes and carrots. And the results were also tasty.
